One minute הלכה halacha שיעור shiur number 14, the הלכות halachos of conduct in a bathroom. So if you walk into the bathroom and you see your friend, are you able to strike up a conversation? The answer is no, לכתחילה l'chatchila. This is why don't be offended if you see people who ignore you in a bathroom or brush you off, because it's אסור assur, it's not צניעות tzniyus, it's not proper. Again, also if you're in a bathroom, you might end up wanting to tell your friend a new חידוש chidush you heard in שיעור shiur that day. You might come to say ברוך השם Baruch Hashem, thank God, you might actually accidentally say God's name in a bathroom, which is completely אסור assur. However, if there's a צורך גדול tzorech gadol, if there's a true need and you do need to say something to your friend for whatever reason, until the time you actually start going to the bathroom, you could say it. And especially when you're actually going to the bathroom, you're doing your business, it's definitely אסור assur to talk. It's not צניעות tzniyus, it's not proper. So that would be אסור assur. Another very important הלכה halacha in the bathroom is it's אסור assur to think thoughts of תורה Torah. You can't just go through your שיעור shiur notes, you can't do חזרה chazara when you're in the bathroom. It's completely אסור assur. And the הלכה halacha actually says, משנה ברורה Mishnah Berurah, שולחן ערוך Shulchan Aruch, and קיצור שולחן ערוך Kitzur Shulchan Aruch discuss that a person, in order to keep your mind off of תורה Torah, you should think about wondrous things, sports games, business, whatever it is. Now, if you're sitting in the bathroom and you might come to an עבירה aveira because of sinful thoughts, then you're allowed to think about תורה Torah. שכוייח Shkoach.
