One minute הלכה halachah שיעור shiur number 19, starting the הלכות halachot of ברכות השחר Birkot Hashachar. So in the morning we said that a person makes אשר יצר Asher Yatzar, and then immediately after אשר יצר Asher Yatzar, a person should do his best to then say the ברכה berachah of אלקי נשמה Elokai Neshamah connected to the ברכה berachah of אשר יצר Asher Yatzar. One of the reasons משנה ברורה Mishnah Berurah says is because of אשר יצר Asher Yatzar is a ברכה berachah of הודאה hoda'ah for thanking Hashem for creating our healthy גוף guf, our healthy body, and אלקי נשמה Elokai Neshamah is obviously a praise to Hashem for creating our נשמה neshamah, so you should say that right after. Now, what's the order in terms of אלקי נשמה Elokai Neshamah, אשר יצר Asher Yatzar, and ברכות התורה Birkat HaTorah? So, what you'll notice is interesting, there's different דרכים derachim, there's different מנהגים minhagim. The Artscroll סידורים siddurim in general, I believe at least the American ones, I actually believe are actually the, not the preferred דרך derech, they're not the preferred way of the משנה ברורה Mishnah Berurah. The preferred way of the משנה ברורה Mishnah Berurah is that first you make אשר יצר Asher Yatzar, then you say אלקי נשמה Elokai Neshamah right after that, then you say ברכות התורה Birkat HaTorah. While you might find in the Artscroll סידור siddur that you actually say אלקי נשמה Elokai Neshamah after everything else, but really what you're supposed to do, you're supposed to say אשר יצר Asher Yatzar immediately by אלקי נשמה Elokai Neshamah, and only then, that's when you start to say ברכות התורה Birkat HaTorah. יישר כח shkoach.
